Chancellor tells graduates polytechnic designation adds value to diploma
On Saturday, May 6,  UW-Stout graduates in three ceremonies gathered in Johnson Fieldhouse where Chancellor Bob Meyer delivered his sixth commencement address recounting the steps UW-Stout went through to receive the historic polytechnic designation in March 2007. Meyer told students he firmly believes that this designation adds value to their diplomas. Read more →
Chicago Showpiece
Winning interior design by student to be built at national event
On June 12-14, student Savanah Colestock will attend the NeoCon show in Chicago, and for the first time she'll be able to see an interior space she designed come to life. Colestock, who is a senior in interior design at UW-Stout, won the I Like Design national student competition this spring. Her designed space will be built at the 49th annual show.   Read more →
ASPIRE program honors graduates; Packers' Davis speaks
ASPIRE-Student Support Services at UW-Stout recently held a recognition event for students in two grant programs who graduated Saturday, May 6. The students at the event got to hear from keynote speaker Rob Davis, director of player engagement for the Packers and the team's former long snapper for 11 seasons.    Read more →

Kevin Duffy '99, is a senior project manager at Consolidated Construction Co. Inc. in Appleton.

Laura Knudsen '08, recently joined the diabetes education and nutrition departments at Mayo Clinic Health System-Red Cedar in Menomonie.  

Stephanie Ruckheim '09, has been promoted to the position of community development director at the YMCA of the Northwoods in Rhinelander.

Dan Riordan, 73, Menomonie, passed away Saturday, April 29. He was a professor and chair of the English and philosophy department until his retirement in 2010.
