The Applied Social Science program at UW-Stout is a growing program focused on providing students with opportunities to learn and apply social scientific and historical skills in and out of the classroom. Our students regularly present their research around the county, publish their research in UW-Stout’s Journal of Student Research, and participate in applied learning projects throughout campus and in the community. Our students go on to work in business, non-profit organizations, and government agencies or to pursue graduate education in Social Work, Law, Geographic Information Systems, and other fields. The hands-on, applied research that students conduct prepares them to be leaders in a variety of settings and positively impacts our community.

In order to continue promoting quality research and applied learning opportunities for students and faculty, the Applied Social Science program is asking for your support! Your generous donation will allow students to receive scholarships for studies, funding for travel to conferences and opportunities to initiate and complete quality, relevant research. Additionally, your gift can provide faculty with needed professional development funds, allowing them to maintain and create connections across the country that will benefit Applied Social Science students and the UW-Stout campus.
